| Why is DIACAP Toolset being offered for free and even after it is finalized?

| The founder of our company challenged the development group to come up with a free tool that could compete with commercially available tools. We saw development of this tool as a way to give back to the IA community. The tool is free now, and will always be free. We will continually add functionality that is of benefit to the IA Community. We also hope that the community will embrace this tool and offer feedback/suggestions to make it better. This tool should get people on their way to compliance. For those that would prefer to outsource DIACAP compliance or need other types of IA services, i.e. IA Program Management Support, Security Testing, Consulting etc.. we hope that they will consider our company.

| Not that we know of. Should be done by a Gov. sponsor. More than willing to support the effort if someone wants to sponsor it.

Just a heads up - I just showed the DIACAP Toolset (v. 3.1) to some folks from DISA and let them know it would be nice for them to sponsor this. Hopefully you'll get something out of it.
I still think you all could make some $$ on this from SOX, GLB and HIPPA - especially now that the financial markets are crap and everyone realizes they weren't all playing by the same rules.....
I know from experience different company's and states Audit the same thing in VERY different ways......

| Is ther any plans to make I-Assure complatible with Vista? It appears very shaky. One install works then the next install doesn't work.
