For Air Force determinations, contact afnic.evpc@us.af.mil, they'll send you the information.

| I mean technically USMC falls under DoN policy but sometimes they have their own process/procedures. I ask because of something that I believe fits under PIT description may be being pushed through DIACAP because there isn't something obvious or someone with enough knowledge to say "we should be doing this instead". If it had a big USMC rubber stamp on it, I could have an argument or at least something to point to. Thanks very much for any help.

| Does anyone have an idea on the differences between the AF vs. Navy read on PIT designations?

| Yeah, I think the Navy has a head start on trying to get PIT right. Nothing against AFNIC on the AF side as they were working on a PIT determination guide.

For AF - in case someone comes to this thread looking for PIT info.
The PIT letter went out to the centers last month or so.
Each commander is the designated DAA.
They are working to stand up their CAs and processes to match the PIT working group.
My division has 1 program designated as PIT, and we may be one of the first guinea pigs.
We followed the DIACAP process as closely as possible, while working -- without having a DAA or knowing who would CA it.
